Celebrating a decade of growth: Nature new journal launches

Since 2015, we have proudly launched 28 new Nature journals – 20 new Research Journals and 8 new Nature Reviews journals – with three more journals to follow in 2024.

As we approach the milestone of a decade of new journals, we celebrate the individual successes of these journals. The overarching aim for each new launch has been to serve new research communities with a commitment to excellence.

In 2024, the Nature Portfolio will launch three new journals: two new transformative journals, Nature Cities and Nature Chemical Engineering, and a new review journal, Nature Reviews Electrical Engineering.

>> Nature Cities will be a thematic title relevant to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and will cover research, opinion, and ideas relevant to understanding cities broadly and their place in our changing world.

>> Nature Chemical Engineering will publish cutting-edge research in applied chemistry and physics that speaks to a broad scientific community of chemical engineers, chemists, physicists, environmentalists, and material scientists.

>> Nature Reviews Electrical Engineering joins a portfolio of more than 20 journals dedicated to publishing review and commentary articles in the clinical, life, physical, social, and earth sciences.
