English Language Editing – Nature Research Editing Service

Researcher Services

Remove English as an obstacle for your non-native English-speaking researchers. Our expert language editors, who have completed or are undertaking a Master’s, PhD or MD, correct English errors and improve the flow of text to help researchers sound like native English speakers.

As part of Nature Research Editing Service, English Language Editing provides expert editors to correct language errors and help your researchers to communicate their research more effectively.

  1. Ensure your researchers’ work is communicated clearly to editors and reviewers
  2. Raise the quality of your institution’s published output
  3. Support the career development of your researchers
  4. Reduce the time that your researchers spend preparing their work for submission

The editing was perfect. The word choices and phrase constructions are exactly what I would like to use, but had no ability to do. They get the point of what you mean and write with precision and clarity. I recommend this for everyone. I tried only the gold level – it is much more than gold! – Professor, Brazil

Our editors

Our language editors are held to the high standards we expect at Nature Research. Each editor has completed or is completing a Master’s, PhD or MD qualification, and has undergone substantial editing training.

Our editors specialize in over 400 subject areas, enabling us to match editors to documents; we can select editors who specialize in the subject area and understand the terminology and the challenges that are unique to that discipline.

Two levels of editing

We offer two levels of English Language Editing so you can choose the appropriate level for your researchers:

  1. SILVER: A basic edit to correct errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation and language usage, and rephrase sentences that sound unnatural.
  2. GOLD: A more-detailed edit, with greater emphasis on the overall flow of the sentences, and a personalized summary of the editing carried out to help improve future writing.

What we edit

We edit all research-related documents (including research papers, grant applications, books, theses, reports and news articles) from all disciplines – from engineering and biology to humanities and social sciences.
